Mitch McConnell waves the white flag on the Missouri Senate Seat...
Just because he's giving up on it, doesn't mean we stop fighting:
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said that Republicans can withstand losing the Missouri Senate race, where the party has cut off support for Rep. Todd Akin in his challenge to Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill, in the wake of Akin's false comment about "legitimate rape" not leading to pregnancy.
"We can take the Senate without Missouri," McConnell USA TODAY. "It'd be a lot easier to take it with Missouri."

Albert Pujols turns out to be a Beckhead. Go Cubs!
I can tell this is going to be an awful morning.
First, Economic Growth was revised downward from 2.2% to 1.6%, feeding the Austerity Caucus, but as Mathematician Dad reminded me that the German's 2.2% is the best they have done in decades. Still, it's going to feed the Pain Caucus, and cause the Congress to do even less when they come back to actually address the Economy.
Then, I learned that St. Louis Cardinals Manager Tony LaRussa and Cardinals Superstar Albert Pujols are going to attend Glenn Beck's Goldline-sponsored "reclaiming" of the Civil Rights Movement on Saturday. Now, I'm not a Cards fan (actually, I'm a long-suffering Orioles fan), and the fact that LaRussa is a Right-wing douchebag is not a total surprise. The fact that Albert Pujols is attending shocks me.
Now, both LaRussa and Pujols are using the fact that the Beckocalypse is "non-political" to justify their attendance. Bull@#$%! If they don't know, they don't want to know. They're Beckheads, plain and simple. Go Cubs.
I hope Albert realizes that this is going to damage his brand with African-Americans for a long time, probably for good. What I want to know is what his Latino fans are going to do with this. After all, he's siding with the people who hate Latinos almost as much as they hate gays, blacks and everyone who's not white and Christian. I'd love to be surprised, but I'm not optimistic.

Ass-hattery... (VIDEO)
Dear Gay Folks,
Listen, I get the upset over the fact that DADT hasn’t been repealed. No, really, I do.
But when you go blaming the President, exclusively might I add, for the lack of DADT repeal, you betray the fact that you seem to have forgotten about a little thing known as the U.S. Congress.
Just because its dominated by Democrats, that doesn’t mean they can’t be just as asinine as any Republican.

And in case you missed it...
This is in regards to the School Bus incident that Comedian Rush Limbaugh, and Michelle Malkin have been harping about. I picked this up on Andrew Sullivan's blog, this morning:
Let me ask the same question Sullivan asked: Where's the retraction from Limbaugh and Malkin?
A student on a Belleville West High School bus was beaten for his choice of seat, not because he was white, according to a witness and police. "The incident appears now to be more about a couple of bullies on a bus dictating where people sit," said Belleville Police Capt. Don Sax, who originally said Monday's attack may have been racially motivated. D'Vante Lott, 16, said he was on the bus and witnessed the attack by the two black students. The victim walked onto the bus, looking for an open seat, but students kept turning him down, as D'Vante said happened often with this student. But Monday, the victim apparently tired of asking for a seat, D'Vante said, moved one student's book-bag off a seat, and just sat down.
Let me ask the same question Sullivan asked: Where's the retraction from Limbaugh and Malkin?

I'd like to congratulate the mainstream media for helping to purvey racism... (VIDEO)
Okay, compare and contrast time. You have to watch both videos to get the full, happy effect.
Yesterday at Senator Claire McCaskill's Town Hall, we were shown a Black woman shown being taken away by Police (and the audience cheering happily as it happens) on CNN for all the Nation to see.
Senator McCaskill (D-MO) went so far as to blame the women for "carrying signs that shouldn't have had them."
Problem.
It's not exactly what happened.
Someone was to blame.
It just wasn't those black women.
What you're seeing (and the tiny-tiny caption embedded in the video describes the action) is that one of the Black women in question had her poster out (apparently of Rosa Parks), then put it away
A local Reporter come by to ask about-slash-take a photo of saidposter, and that's when a random White Man from the audience feels its his right to take this woman's property from her, walk back his seat, and crumple it up.
After he sat down, is when CNN started paying attention.
But I didn't see this on CNN, did I?
I didn't see the white man who started it, being taken away by the Cops on CNN. (Now, granted, perhaps there was some cheering for him getting taken away as well, but that's not how CNN presented it.)
I haven't heard a retraction from Senator McCaskill, have I?
UPDATE (10:48am Pacific): I almost forgot. Laura Dean at Huffington Post was the first to spot this, and deserves maximum credit for this story.
